Free and Confidential HIV/STI Testing

Offered by the Office of Health Services on a first-come, first-served basis. You can find out your status quickly, painlessly and confidentially, and get counseling and treatment if needed. The following services are available to all students:

  • HIV testing
  • Hepatitis C testing
  • STI screening for chlamydia and gonorrhea (available to lesbian/bisexual women and their partners)

Fostering Healthy Relationships

This new support group is designed to help undergraduate students build and maintain healthy relationships with friends, family, and romantic partners. You will gain insight into the nature of your relationship patterns, while fostering interpersonal communication skills, and discover new ways of relating to others.

Crossing Cultures: Building Social Connections

This new support group is designed to help undergraduate students explore issues related to acculturation, cultural identity, adjustment and life transitions. This group will also provide a space to connect with other students who share similar experiences.

How Can You Help a Friend Who is Struggling?

Try Kognito At-Risk

Are you worried about a friend or classmate? Have you ever wanted to talk to a fellow student dealing with a problem, but weren't sure how? In this unique, game-based simulation you will learn how to determine when a friend needs help, how to talk to a friend you're worried about, and where you and your friend can turn for help. Kognito At-Risk takes 20-30 minutes to complete, is available 24/7 and can be completed in multiple sittings as necessary. As a bonus, all students who complete Kognito At-Risk will be automatically entered to win a $30 gift card. Kognito At-Risk is available to Hunter College students only.
