Dear Freshman Student:

Welcome to Hunter College!

This website is designed specifically for Freshman students, and contains access to important resources, events, tutorials, and other information that is crucial during the first year at Hunter College. As a new freshman, it is also important that you check MyHunter regarding orientation, advising and registration.

Throughout your first year at Hunter, The Office of Advising Services will work with you to assist in the many new processes, procedures, policies, people and places that you will encounter. Orientations, advising sessions, programs, workshops and other helpful events are arranged throughout your first year at Hunter to help you get adjusted, to better navigate the academic system, and to make informed decisions about your academic career.

Each student is assigned to a Freshman Advisor. Advisors are typically assigned during the first few weeks of classes. Please check your MyHunter page for the most up to date information. Your advisor will also be contacting you via your Hunter email address. Note, that you will only be contacted by the College through Hunter email, so it is essential that you check it on a regular basis.
