About Scholarships and Grants for International Students

It can be difficult for an international student to find a scholarship or grant . But don't give up hope! There are many scholarships available for international students. Your search will require time, energy and endurance, but scholarships are out there, in practically any field and level of study.

Visit our Grants A-Z Guide for more scholarships available to international students. Please review the information carefully to see which scholarship(s) you should apply for. You should also seek out organizations and foundations related to your field of study, as well as to your country of origin, ethnicity, or gender.

    Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

    Students who were diagnosed with hearing loss of 60dB or greater in the better hearing ear are eligible for a grant ranging from $500-$5,000.

    Individuals interested in artistic and technical production, arts administration and community engagement.
    Fellowship provides a modest stipend and is intended to increase participation of people of color in the arts

  • Amity Institute Internship

    This internship program provides opportunity for undergraduate and graduate international students to teach their native language and culture in American elementary and secondary schools, colleges and universities. Students in the fields of American Studies/Civilization, English Language and Literature, and Education are eligible to apply. Award includes tuition, living expenses, and a stipend. Offered to unmarried students between the ages of 20 and 30.

    Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) internships

    CSIS offers full and part-time internships in the fall, spring and summer for undergraduates, advanced students, and recent graduates who are interested in gaining practical experience in public policy. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S.

    For students enrolled or will be enrolled as matriculated students in a CUNY graduate program. Students must have received a bachelor’s degree from a CUNY college. Students will work from 15-20 hours at a CUNY college for a salary of $10/hr, and will be eligible for a tuition waver of up to six credits per semester.
