CUNY Hunter College in New York, USA is approved for the international student loan and the study abroad loan. International students at CUNY Hunter College can apply for a student loan, with a US co-signer. The co-signer must be a US citizen or permanent resident, with good credit, who has lived in the US for the past two years.

Students enrolled at CUNY Hunter College that plan to study abroad and receive credit at CUNY Hunter College can also apply for a student loan.

A Student Loan is a private education loan offering students resources to bridge the gap between the money they have, and the money they need.

Apply online anytime.The three-minute credit response is for applications submitted from 7 a.m. - 11 p.m. E.T. daily. Additional documentation and data verification may be requested for final loan approval.

  • Note that this loan is certified at Hunter College once you have applied online.
  • Also note that you need a co-signer who is a permanent resident or a U.S citizen with a good credit rating.


Leo S. Rowe Fund

The Leo S. Rowe Fund ("the Rowe Fund"), is a student loan program of the Organization of American States ("the OAS"), it helps citizens from Latin America and the Caribbean OAS Member countries finance their studies or research in accredited universities across the United States. The Rowe Fund loans are given to students on condition that upon completion of his or her studies, the beneficiary must promise to repay the loan in full and return to his or her country in order to further intercultural exchange and socioeconomic development in the region. The courses may last for, at least, one academic semester and all studies and research for which the loan is granted, need to be completed within a two year period. Rowe Fund loans include:  

  • Interest-free loans for up to US$15,000
  • Deferred repayment while in school
  • No application or processing fees
  • Use of non-profit guarantor
  • Applications are accepted and reviewed on a year-round basis
  • Funding is sent directly to the student after approval
