CUNY Citizenship Now!

This program provides free and confidential quality assistance to students interested in applying adjustment of status to U.S.Permanent Residency or other non F-1 Student Status or J-1 Exchange Visitor issues such as consideration of "Deferred Action" Employment and application to U.S. Citizenship.

Students' eligibility for consideration of Deferred Action will be assessed on a case by case basis and assistance will be provided to those students who qualify. Join the following mailing list if you think you might qualify and you want to receive information about how to get help.

According to the United States and Immigration Services(USCIS), undeliverable Permanent Resident , Employment cards and Travel documents will be destroyed within 60 days and the applicant must pay fees again for processing. Spring 2019- Mandatory Check-in -Submission of Immigration related documents-

We are holding mandatory check-ins (submission of copies of immigration related documents), which is required once you enter or re-enter the United States whether initially or returning. Our upcoming check-ins dates are every Wednesday, 2:00 PM -4:00 PM throughout the semester; No appointments are necessary, only confirm hours by sending an e-mail to :

Retrieve your most recent electronic record of your arrival into the United States at the following link and print it and scan or bring a copy to the International Students Office (ISO) in rooms 1109 or 1133 East:

Travel endorsements for travel, including holiday travel (during the Thanksgiving recess) during the Fall 2019 are available:

Students may visit the Hunter College ISO when the college is open from 10:00-11:00 AM or 3:00-4:00PM on most Mondays and Tuesdays or during published ISO walk in hours; just send a quick email to to inform us that you plan to visit for a travel endorsement; plan to receive your travel endoresment at least 1 week prior to your planned trip; anytime for emergency travel. Please bring your immigration documents with you and also complete a travel request form (available here); Travel endorsements will continue until November 19, 2019.
