RESIDENCE LIFE

Hunter College students who live in the residences can enrich their Hunter College experience by becoming involved in the Residence Life community. Residents can become involved in a number of programs designed to enhance their education and to promote positive relationships within the residences and the community at large.

Only a limited number of Hunter students have the opportunity to live in our residences. Scholar groups are given priority housing, to better build community among them.

The application process is highly competitive; therefore, it is recommended that students complete the housing application as early as possible.

To learn more about our residences, please visit the Residence Life website.

Are there any alternatives to the Hunter Residence Hall?

Yes, Hunter students are eligible to apply for a room in City College Residence Hall. Many private residence halls throughout the city offer rooms in a wide range of prices. Other alternatives include renting an apartment with other Hunter students. You may consult the Hunter Residence Hall’s website or the One to World website at www.one-to-world.org.
