Summer at Hunter College Residence Hall

Hunter College offers single rooms for rent to students, interns and groups from June 7 to August 17. The Residence Hall is conveniently located near public transportation, restaurants, and shopping centers; renters will have access to on-site laundry facilities, kitchen, and social lounge amenities.  Tennis courts, gym, pool and Internet access are available for additional fees.  Group housing is available for one week to a maximum of 8 weeks. Some restrictions apply.

General Information

• Hunter College Residence Hall is a drug and smoke free environment.
• Effective August 2009 Hunter College is a dry campus, alcohol is not allowed on the campus
• All rooms are single occupancy only.
• Summer renters may have 2 guests per calendar week.
• A copy of the summer renter's policy will be given to students at move-in.
• Location: 425 East 25^th Street, between 1^st Ave and the FDR Drive

Current Residents

If you lived on campus in the spring semester you are eligible for summer housing and you are not required to take classes.

Hunter or CUNY Students Not Currently Living on Campus

We have opened our summer housing to students at Hunter or any other CUNY college. You will be required to take 3 credits in summer school and CUNY students must present proof of registration.

  North Building M, 2, 3, 4, 12
  East Building 2, 3

Students Taking Summer Classes at Hunter

We have opened our summer housing to students from any college or university who is registered for 3 credits or more in summer school.

Students Taking Summer Classes or Participating in Internships

Students enrolled in an internship or taking classes at a college other than Hunter may opt to live in the Residence Hall for the summer session only.

Dates, Application Information & Fees:

• Application Period:  June 1, to August 1, 2011
• Payment in full must be received prior to move in.
• Applicants must be 17 years old or older.
• Applicant must present proof of registration or a letter from the home college and the internship site on the day of move in.

IELI Students and Hunter or CUNY Sponsored Groups

Students enrolled in any IELI program and Hunter or CUNY sponsored groups may opt to live in the Residence Hall for the summer session only.

Hunter College welcomes groups involved in summer educational programs.

• Final week of summer rental August 9-12.
• Payment in full must be received prior to move in.
• Applicants must be 17 years old or older.
