From the Academia Literaria to the West African Dance Club, student clubs represent a variety of interests on campus. Other students may share the same interests and have started a club. If not, currently registered Hunter students can complete the process (Chartering) to establish a club. We encourage Hunter students, clubs and organizations to visit the Student Group Management System (SGMS) frequently for club and organization announcements and upcoming events.

Currently registered students may view and join chartered student clubs and organizations on the Student Group Management System (SGMS).
Students who are new to the system must first request a password by clicking on "forget your password?" in order to sign in. After you have receive your temporary password via email, use your Hunter email address and temporary password to sign in. We encourage you to change password and begin to enjoy the endless possibilities of the SGMS. Please note: Student organizations may not request funds until the chartering/reactivation process is complete. The Office of Student Activities posts a bi-weekly eligibility list. Please contact the Office of Student Activities at 212-772-4908 if your organization is listed as "ineligible" or does not appear on the list.
Beginning in mid-September, student groups will request funds and process vouchers via Symplicity. You will recieve instruction at the CA Workshop.
Student group orientation is the first step in the chartering/reactivation process. It is required for all new and returning student organizations. Student organizations will learn about procedural changes, have an opportunity to ask questions and receive assistance with club registration. At least one officer must attend orientation. Officers, members and advisors are welcome to attend. We encourage student groups to register early for orientation.
Registration is the second step in the chartering/reactivation process. Student organizations may not register until orientation has been completed. Student groups will receive registration instructions during orientation.
The Use of Funds and Facilities (CA Workshop) is the third and final step of the chartering/reactivation process. All student organization presidents and treasurers must attend. This workshop will cover budgets, voucher processing, contracts, etc.

Clubs and organizations in the process of chartering may schedule up to two tabling dates or hold an open house to recruit members and introduce students to your group. To request tabling go to:
