Board of Student Representatives (BSR)(School of Social Work 401)

The Board of Student Representatives (BSR) at the Hunter College School of Social Work (HCSSW) is composed of a diverse group of students who enrich the student life and address various needs of the student body. BSR does this by forming committees, alliances, work groups, hosting four Common Time’s which foster the HCSSW community and address the needs of the student body.The, BSR also sponsors two graduations, which occur in January and May/June of each year. The BSR is open to any HCSSW student.

Gender and Sexuality Alliance, The

The Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GASA) is an alliance of students at the Hunter College School of Social Work (HCSSW) who are committed to the equity of all sexual orientations, genders and identities. GASA seeks to promote inclusion, visibility and sensitivity at Hunter of all sexual orientations, genders and identities, especially in HCSSW's policies, spaces and curriculum.

Graduate Anthropology Club

To provide students in Hunter College’s Graduate Anthropology program with activities that will enhance the educational experience by providing networking opportunities through social events, community activities, and academic conferences. In addition, the club strives to promote an interest in Anthropology to all students regardless of their primary areas of study.

Guapa-Graduate Urban Affairs and Planning Association(1642 HW)

GUAPA is an organization for the students of the Department of Urban Affairs and Planning at Hunter College. The purpose of the organization is to create an environment for the discussion and presentation of urban issues of interest to the group, to conduct events of interest to the group, to foster ideas that enhance the experience of the group, and to create a sense of community and solidarity among students in the Urban Affairs and Planning programs.

MA Student Organzation for Art History

The MA Student Organization’s purpose is to provide a community for Hunter College’s MA Art History students. The organization will help orient new MA students to the college and program; host lectures by professionals in the field and plan events with Hunter MA Alumni.

Master of Fine Arts Student Organization (MFASO) (450 W. 41st St., MFA Bldg., 4th Fl.)

The goal of the MFASO is to build community and enrich the culture within the MFA program, to act as representation of students’ concerns to the faculty and administration, and to improve facilities and resources for studio practice.

National Student Speech Language Hearing Association Club (NSSLHA)

The purpose of the NSSLHA is to encourage and promote professional interest among college students in the study of Human Communication Sciences and Disorders. In addition it aims to provide continuity in the dissemination of professional information and act as a vehicle for student representation in matters of professional and academic concern.
