From the Accounting Society to the Zeta Phi Alpha Sorority, student clubs represent a variety of interests on campus. Other students may share the same interests and have started a club. If not, currently registered Hunter students can complete the process (Chartering) to establish a club. We encourage Hunter students, clubs and organizations to visit the Student Group Management System (SGMS) frequently for club and organization announcements and upcoming events.

Currently registered students may view and join chartered student clubs and organizations on the Student Group Management System (SGMS).
Students who are new to the system must first request a password by clicking on "forget your password?" in order to sign in. After you have receive your temporary password via email, use your Hunter email address and temporary password to sign in. We encourage you to change password and begin to enjoy the endless possibilities of the SGMS. CLUB REGISTRATION PROCEDURES
All student clubs/publications must be register with the Office of Student Activities in order to charter.
1. Complete Online Orientation/Quiz (Required for all club officers). The link will become active on July 28, 2014.
3. Submit 3 original Signature Profile Forms to the Office of Student Activities (Room C001 North Building)
Please note: Student organizations may not request funds until the registration and chartering processes are complete. The Office of Student Activities posts a bi-weekly eligibility list. Please contact the Office of Student Activities at 212-772-4908 if your organization is listed as "ineligible" or does not appear on the list.
Orientation is required for all officers(president, vice-president, treasurer and secretary) of all new and returning student organizations. The student club orientation will cover registration, event procedures, risk management, etc. followed by a quiz. All officers must pass the quiz by at least 75%.
Student organizations may not register on the SGMS until orientation has been completed. Student groups will receive the SGMS registration password after at least one officer has completed and passed the online orientation/quiz.
All student organization presidents and treasurers must attend the Use of Funds and Facilities Workshop (CA Workshop). This workshop will cover budgets, voucher processing, contracts, etc.
Clubs and organizations in the process of chartering may schedule up to two tabling dates or hold an open house to recruit members and introduce students to your group. To request tabling go to:
