PEER ADVISING LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

sefsc_title.gif

Peer Advisors assist in the delivery of direct services to students, especially in the areas of registration and advising. The Peer Advising Leadership Program enhances the advising and counseling functions of the Office of Student Services. Selected undergraduate students are given an opportunity to develop skills that can be employed in a variety of classroom, counseling and advocacy settings.

The Peer Advisors are well-trained in the general requirements for Hunter College. Many of the Peer Advisors also represent Hunter College in a variety of other ways, as officers of clubs on campus, or members of athletic teams, social and academic honor societies. The Peer Advisors also represent a cross-section of majors and programs offered at the college, from Accounting to Urban Studies.

If you are interested in being a Peer Advisor, please send a cover letter and your resume to Ms. Bertha M. Peralta-Rodriguez, the Asst. Director of Advising & Programming, at the following email address: StudentCenter@hunter.cuny.edu
