SUMMER FINANCIAL AID
How To Register
Step 1: Make sure you know your registration date.
Regular registration for Degree Students for Summer 2012 will begin on March 6, 2012 until May 23, 2012 . Late registration will be on June 4 and 5 for Session 1 and July 17 for Session 2. A few notes to remember when registering:
- Registration begins at 9am on the first day of each period and is open 6am - 3am daily until the registration period ends.
- All students (even those for whom attendance is optional) must report to classes during first week of classes. Students will lose their place in some science laboratory classes if they do not attend the first class meeting.
- When switching classes, use the “Replace” feature. DO NOT use the Add/Drop option.
Step 2: Register as usual!
Follow the regular registration procedures using the CUNY Portal. Registration instructions are available at: http://registrar.hunter.cuny.edu. Click "Learn how to Register" on the left menu bar.
Summer Financial Aid
Summer financial aid (Federal Pell, Federal Direct Loans, etc.) is available to matriculated Hunter students taking at least 6 credits total during Summer 2011 (during one session or over both Summer I and Summer II Sessions).
To apply, make sure you complete your 2012-2013 FAFSA as soon as possible, and indicate that you plan to register for the Summer 2011 session. If awarded, your financial aid package will be disbursed over the Summer ‘12, Fall ‘12 and Spring ‘13 semesters.
Hunter College Scholarships: Scholarships are also available to eligible students for the Summer 2011 session. Make sure you file your 2012-2013 FAFSA as soon as possible (if you have not already done so), to be considered.
