Lucinda Franks

Lucinda Franks is the first woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for national reporting. She is a former staff writer for The New York Times, has written regularly for The New YorkerThe New York Times Magazine, and The Atlantic.  She has written four books including Waiting out a War: The Exile of Private John Picciano, Wild Apples, and My Father’s Secret War. Her latest book is a memoir of her unconventional marriage to New York’s most powerful prosecutor, called Timeless: Love, Morgenthau, and Me.

Katherine Howe

Katherine Howe is the New York Times bestselling author of The Physick Book of Deliverance DaneThe House of Velvet and Glass, and Conversion. Her fiction has been translated into over twenty-five languages, and she teaches at Cornell.

Lawrence Block

Lawrence Block is an acclaimed contemporary American crime writer best known for two long-running New York-set series, about the recovering alcoholic P.I. Matthew Scudder and gentleman burglar Bernie Rhodenbarr. Block was named a Grand Master by the Mystery Writers of America, and he has published over 100 books – many of which have been filmed.
