LDI was a reaffirmation of my own personal experience as a foreign born student…It was also an affirmation of my experiences being in New York City and in a college such as Hunter…It was my hope that they were finally realizing the wealth they had and were tapping into it…We were trying to tell the rest of the world that helping students to retain their languages and heritage is a win-win situation for all of us.
