What did you accomplish over the summer?
I was able to use knowledge gained in the meetings about hybrid online courses to lead a weekend intensive with students and build a curriculum module for Learning about the Cuban Conga, and its relationship to Cuban people and their culture. I built an ePortfolio template for my Methods I and II classes. I learned how to use Screencast-O-Matic to share reflective practices regarding ePortfolio platforms.
How do you plan to assess the effectiveness of your project and its impact on student learning?
- I will use a rubric, and include reflective feedback for each section.
- Peer share/review/feedback
- I would like to have a portfolio celebration, with outside “experts,” from other curricular areas, my Curriculum and Teaching Department Chair, some of the technology staff, etc., all giving a round of feedback.
