Deadlines for Completing an Admission Deferral
Fall: September 2, 2014*
*Note, your Commitment Deposit must be received and processed by this date.
If you were admitted to Hunter College and wish to delay your enrollment and reserve your seat at the College for a future semester, you may do so by completing an admission deferral. Your seat will be reserved for up to one year and is not transferable to any other college. You will not need to reapply or pay an additional application-processing fee.**
To Complete an Admission Deferral:
Step I. Delay Your Enrollment on Your MyChoice Page
- Log into your Hunter MyChoice page →
- Select the option: " I wish to delay my enrollment."
- Click "Submit."
Step II. Pay the Commitment Tuition Deposit
- Visit the Hunter College Office of the Bursar website for specific instructions →
- Note: Veteran applicants, students admitted into the SEEK program, and students with an EFC of $3,000 or less are not required to pay the Commitment Tuition Deposit in order to complete an admission deferral.
After you complete your admission deferral, you can expect to receive a confirmation email and an updated Admission Decision Notification for the future semester.
