Training Programs

Look into the various research/mentorship training programs here at Hunter College. Many of them offer stipends and other funding.

Beckman Scholars

This program offers funding for undergraduate research with faculty mentorship in chemistry, biochemistry, the biological and medical sciences.

 

Raab Presidential Fellows  Program

Through faculty member nomination only, this program supports student experiences including non-paid research placements, research opportunities, and study abroad. For information on when and how to nominate a student, please contact engage@hunter.cuny.edu.

 

Avon Scholarship

Through faculty member nomination only, this program supports latinas returning to college or starting college later in life and who are interested in accounting. For information on when and how to nominate a student who meets this criteria, please contact engage@hunter.cuny.edu.

 

Tuckman Scholarship

Through faculty member nomination only, this program supports student research opportunities such as research with a faculty member over the summer. For information on when and how to nominate a student, please contact engage@hunter.cuny.edu.

 

UGRC Best Student Presentation Awards

Hunter undergraduate student research, scholarship, and creative activity is awarded based on a voting system at Hunter's annual conference. Automatically enter to be considered for the award by submitting your abstract to the conference. The call for abstracts occurs in the late Fall or Winter via the Monthly Newsletter on the UGRC website. For more information, contact urgresearch@hunter.cuny.edu.

 

Prestious Scholarships

Hunter's Office of Prestigious Scholarships prepares students to apply for scholarships such as the Goldwater, Marshall, Mitchell, Rhodes, and Truman. Students must fill out a profile form (uploading your transcript and résumé) and then make an appointment with the office.
