The BOPs preview weekend introduces highly qualified prospective graduate students to bioscience PhD programs offered at the UW-Madison and the breadth of research opportunities available on campus.

Students who apply to this visitation get all expenses paid for - we encourage you to speak to your faculty mentor and/or advisors for guidance on how to best prepare for graduate school visits.

Who Can Participate in BOPs? 

  1. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents.
  2. Applicants must be recent graduates or seniors who will graduate no later than summer of 2015 who intend to apply to a PhD program in the biological sciences for the 2015-2016 academic year. 
  3. Students who are African American, Hispanic, Native American, Southeast Asian, Native Alaskan or Native Pacific Islander, OR who are from low-income homes, OR who are first in their family to attend college are strongly encouraged to apply.
