The BOPs preview weekend introduces highly qualified prospective graduate students to bioscience PhD programs offered at the UW-Madison and the breadth of research opportunities available on campus.
Students who apply to this visitation get all expenses paid for - we encourage you to speak to your faculty mentor and/or advisors for guidance on how to best prepare for graduate school visits.
Who Can Participate in BOPs?
- Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents.
- Applicants must be recent graduates or seniors who will graduate no later than summer of 2015 who intend to apply to a PhD program in the biological sciences for the 2015-2016 academic year.
- Students who are African American, Hispanic, Native American, Southeast Asian, Native Alaskan or Native Pacific Islander, OR who are from low-income homes, OR who are first in their family to attend college are strongly encouraged to apply.
