Information for Prospective Students

Students wishing to apply to a degree program are urged to visit the appropriate track website and review the admissions requirements. Attending an Information Session is also recommended.

ENTERING HUNTER COLLEGE AS A DEGREE STUDENT:
When you are ready to apply, proceed to the on-line graduate admissions application at www.hunter.cuny.edu/graduateadmissions. You can also schedule an appointment with the program advisor for additional consultation (see track websites for contact information).

ENTERING HUNTER COLLEGE AS A NON-DEGREE STUDENT:
The non-matriculation (aka non-degree) status is a simple and fast way to start taking courses at Hunter. The Urban Public Health Program permits non-matriculants (NM) to take a maximum of three courses (9 credits). Those interested in taking 12 or more credits must apply for matriculation. those who applied to and are active in Hunter's system for the upcoming semester can receive registration approval .Registration approval is granted for select courses on a space available basis. in addition to the application, provide Admissions with the NY required proof of immunization, using either a Hunter College or non-Hunter

In advance of UPH advisement, review the upcoming course schedule on the Registrar's website (or at the UPH homepage link.) UPH courses are listed under Health Sciences, and are divided according to track (PH, COMHE, EOHS, EPI, BIOS, HPM, NUTR).  For information about the registration process including registration dates, tuition, tuition deadlines, obtaining a Hunter ID, etc see the Registrar's and Admissions websites. Please note that those in NM status are not entitled to financial aid.
