Pathways to Admission for the MPH in Public Health Nutrition

Depending on educational background, students may follow one of two routes to matriculating in the Master of Public Health degree program with a specialization in Public Health Nutrition:

  1. Students who have the five prerequisites (listed above) are eligible to apply for matriculation.
    • Students who have a maximum of 2 deficiencies may apply for matriculation and may be accepted contingent on successfully completing the missing courses in 1-2 semesters.
  2. Students who do not have the background to become matriculated for the MPH in Public Health Nutrition because they are missing more than two of the prerequisite courses may apply for matriculation in the specialization leading to the MPH in Community Health Education, and take up to 18 credits of MPH core Public Health (PH) courses while fulfilling the undergraduate level science and nutrition requirements, and then transfer into nutrition.
