Community Health Education - BS in Health Sciences
Community health educators use educational skills and a sound knowledge of public health to encourage effective individual and group action designed to maintain and improve the health of people in the community. They develop, implement, and coordinate health education programs in communities, educate the public about health and disease and what can be done to maintain good health, prevent disease or secure treatment.

Field Placement Information
All majors complete three courses of fieldwork: COMHE 401 (210 hours), COMHE 402 (105 hours) and COMHE 403 (150 hours). The program has affiliations with health agencies in the metropolitan region and with several agencies in other countries. Some field placements are available on evenings and weekend
