A major in Women and Gender Studies consists of 24 credits (8 courses).  

3 Required Courses (9 Credits)

• WGS 100 - Introduction to Women's Studies
• WGS 201 - Classics in Feminist Thought
• Senior Seminar - Either:
• I. WGS 310 Research Seminar: Feminist Theory and Methodology: 3 credits, OR
• II. WGS 320 Internship Seminar: Feminist Activism and Advocacy, 3 credits

5 Additional Elective Courses (15 Credits)
At least 3 elective credits must be at the 300-level. From the elective subfields below, 1 course must be taken from EACH.

• I. Feminisms
• II. Gender and Sexuality
• III. Women in Culture and Society

One elective course must be completed at the 300 level or above.
