The Hunter College Employee Assistance Program
is here to offer free, professional and confidential
mental health service to all Hunter
employees, their families and partners in addition
to referrals and information to aid the members
of our school community.
Founded
in 1983, The Hunter College EAP has built a reputation
for excellence by offering a caring, competent approach
to counseling for individuals, families and couples
as well as departmental consultations in the Hunter
community. The program is staffed by New York State
licensed social workers as well as advanced, experienced
social work interns. In addition, the program is
recognized by the National Association of Social
Workers and the Council on Social Work Education.
All
services at the Hunter College Employee Assistance
Program are free of charge, voluntary, confidential
and consistent with New York State law and
offered in a private setting in our on-campus offices.
The Employee Assistance Program operates independently
of any other departments in the university. We welcome
full and part-time employees as well as their partners,
spouses or families to use our services.
The
EAP offers services in English, Spanish, and French.
We
invite you to contact the EAP to schedule a consultation
appointment with one of our social workers or interns.
