Donna Masini earned her MFA from New York University in 1988.

She is the author of two collections of poetry,  Turning to Fiction ( WW Norton and Co.  2004) and That Kind of Danger (Beacon Press, 1994), which was selected by Mona Van Duyn to win the  Barnard Women Poet's Prize. Her novel, About Yvonne (Norton, 1997), has been translated into several languages. A recipient of many grants including National Endowment for the Arts and New York Foundation for the Arts, her poems have appeared in  TriQuarterly, Paris Review, Georgia Review, Parnassus, Boulevard, Open City,  KGB Bar Book of Poems, the 2006 Pushcart Prize anthology, et al.
