Jim Holt will be giving the inaugural address to the 2014 Athena Honors Cohorts.

Jim Holt is the author of “Stop Me If You’ve Heard This,” a book about jokes, and “Why Does the World Exist?” which was named a best book of 2013 by The New York Times. He is a frequent contributor to The New York Times Magazine, The New York Review of Books, The New Yorker, The New York Times, The American Scholar, and Slate.
