UNIVERSITIES WORKING WITH COMMUNITIES

-          Service Learning in Design and Planning: Educating at the Boundaries. This book co-edited by CCP Director Tom Angotti critically explores the practice of community-engaged learning in architecture, landscape design and urban planning, radically revising the standard protocol for university-initiated design/build projects in communities.

-          Cultural Competence in Puerto Rican and Latino Communities. A joint project with the Center for Puerto Rican Studies looks at the relationship between urban planning education and New York City’s diverse Latino communities.

-          Placemaking in New York City: From Puerto Rican to Pan-Latino--See Tom Angotti's chapter in the book Diálogos: Placemaking in Latino Communities (Routledge, 2011).
