A Veterans Day Message from President Raab

As we commemorate Veterans Day 2013, I ask that you join me in pausing to reflect on the contributions that Hunter College student veterans have made on behalf of both the college community and the country. Equally as important, we honor the military service tenures of our faculty and staff today. At Hunter, we are extremely fortunate to have student veterans from across the nation representing all of the branches of the military: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and the Coast Guard. The majority of student veterans at Hunter College seek to continue their service to their country through the fields of medicine, education, scientific research and other spheres of community service. As our student veterans make the transition to the next phase of their lives following their military careers, the Hunter College community stands at the ready to support them in their mission of lifelong learning and community service.

Throughout the week, we will be profiling a few of our student veterans, just a small sample of the many inspiring Hunter students who have given so much on behalf of us all.
