Six Hunter Students Win the 2013 CUNY Nobel Challenge

Hunter students Michael Shin, Linda Luu, Rivka Thurm, Yevgeniy Berdzenishvili, Erica Wan and Ijeoma Onyejiukwa will be honored this month for their essays explaining the science behind the research of one of the 2013 Nobel prize recipients.

Each year, the CUNY Nobel Challenge invites undergraduate students to explain, in 1000-1500 word essays, the scientific concepts behind the work for which one of the previous year’s Nobel winners received his or her prize. The essays are also expected to describe the present and potential future significance of the Nobelist’s research to humanity.

Congratulations all of you!
