Application Deadlines
All students MUST submit a Hunter Study Abroad Application, even if you are applying to a non-Hunter program (through other CUNY schools, CIEE, CIS Abroad, etc.)
Hunter College short-term programs:
- Summer programs: Applications are due by mid-March. Deadlines are published directly on each program's specific page.
- Winter programs: Applications are due by October. Deadlines are published directly on each program's specific page.
Hunter semester-long exchange programs:
- For Spring semesters, applications must be received by September 15 the semester prior to intended departure.
- For Fall semesters, applications must be received by February 15 the semester prior to intended departure.
Other programs - CUNY, affiliated, external:
For Winter and Spring: October 1
For Summer and Fall: March 1*
Students must submit the Hunter application to study abroad BEFORE the deadlines listed above. This will allow enough time for students to receive approval from our office, then submit their specific program application to the affiliated school or partner. The specific program application deadlines will vary; please consult the program's page or website directly for this information.

Be sure to start your application early, so that you allow enough time to complete all the required and conditionally required questions prior to the deadline for your program.

ACCESSIBILITY
Our office collaborates closely with the Office of AccessABILITY to make sure that Hunter Students with disabilities receive reasonable accommodations necessary while studying abroad. To ensure accommodations, all students with disabilities /medical conditions are advised to meet with the Office of AccessABILITY in 1214 East Building to receive a letter of accommodation which will help us to verify their needs and to plan accordingly. FINANCIAL AID
If you receive financial aid and/or scholarships at Hunter, it is your responsibility to speak with a financial aid advisor and/or your scholarship provider to discuss how your study abroad may affect your financial aid/scholarships

The principal purpose for information requested on the application is to determine eligibility for study abroad. College policy authorizes maintenance of this information. Furnishing all information required on the application form is mandatory. Failure to provide such information may delay or even prevent your study abroad process. You have the right to review, in accordance with college policy, any personal information maintained about you by contacting the office of record.
