Application Deadlines

All students MUST submit a Hunter Study Abroad Application, even if you are applying to a non-Hunter program (through other CUNY schools, CIEE, CIS Abroad, etc.)

Hunter College short-term programs:

  • Summer programs: Applications are due by mid-March. Deadlines are published directly on each program's specific page.
  • Winter programs: Applications are due by October. Deadlines are published directly on each program's specific page.

Hunter semester-long exchange programs:

  • For Spring semesters, applications must be received by September 15 the semester prior to intended departure.
  • For Fall semesters, applications must be received by February 15 the semester prior to intended departure.

Other programs - CUNY, affiliated, external:

For Winter and Spring: October 1

For Summer and Fall: March 1

Students must submit the Hunter application to study abroad BEFORE the deadlines listed above. This will allow enough time for students to receive approval from our office, then submit their specific program application to the affiliated school or partner. The specific program application deadlines will vary; please consult the program's page or website directly for this information.
