Arts Outing: “El Canto de las Manos” with Bradley Cooper
Join a group of students to see the New York Philharmonic’s U.S. premiere of El Canto de las Manos, María Valverde’s moving documentary about three Deaf musicians from Venezuela’s Coro de Manos Blancas performing Beethoven’s Fidelio in sign language under conductor Gustavo Dudamel, NY Phil’s Music & Artistic Director. The evening features the Juilliard Orchestra, Juilliard vocalists, and Deaf West Theatre actors, followed by a discussion moderated by Bradley Cooper with Dudamel, Valverde, and Deaf West Theatre’s DJ Kurs.
Students with confirmed tickets will meet at 7:00 pm, the performance begins at 7:30 pm.
