Career Week Spring 2026: Careers in the Arts
Curious about how to turn creativity into a career? This session explores the wide range of professional roles available across the arts—from creative and production work to management, education, and arts administration. Students will gain practical insight into how to land internships and jobs in the arts, make themselves competitive candidates, and navigate early career decisions. The session will also highlight key resources and discuss how the Certificate in Arts Management Program can serve as a valuable pathway for building skills, experience, and connections.
Students will gain:
- A clear overview of the many career paths available in the arts (beyond the obvious ones)
- Practical strategies for finding and securing arts internships and entry-level roles
- Best practices for resumes, portfolios, networking, and interviews in creative fields
- Insight into what employers in the arts actually look for in candidates
- Awareness of campus, local, and national resources that support arts careers
- An understanding of how the Certificate Program can strengthen career readiness
Students will leave with a clearer sense of direction, concrete next steps, and tools they can start using immediately to move toward a career in the arts.
