The Distinguished Writers Series at Hunter College welcomes Laila Lalami.
Laila Lalami is the author of four novels including The Moor’s Account, which won the American Book Award, the Arab-American Book Award and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, and The Other Americans, which was a Los Angeles Times bestseller, a best-of-2019 selection from a dozen outlets and a finalist for the National Book Award in Fiction. Her writing has appeared in The LA Times, The NY Times and elsewhere. Her new book, a work of nonfiction, is Conditional Citizens (Pantheon, April 2020).
