OOA Outing to the NY Phil
Oct 21 | 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The Office of the Arts has tickets for students to see the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. Conductor Jeannette Sorrell will lead works spanning Mozart’s lifetime, including an overture composed when he was 12 years old, and works by his contemporary, Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges, the first classical composer of African descent to attain widespread acclaim in European music.
Principal Clarinet Anthony McGill is soloist in a concerto by Bologne, and soprano Sonya Headlam sings arias by both composers.
