PPAP 1003- 2026-2027 Committee Letter Application Seminar

The Committee Letter Seminar, hosted by the Pre-Health Office, is designed to support undergraduate applicants and re-applicants as they prepare their Committee Letter Application and apply to medical, dental, or optometry schools.
During this mandatory seminar, we will review the entire application process, including:
- How to prepare and submit your Committee Letter Application
- Guidelines for writing effective personal statements
- Tips for completing other key components of your professional school application
This seminar is required for all first-time applicants and for re-applicants who wish to update a previously submitted Committee Letter.
Committee Letter Requirements
To receive a Committee Letter or Letter Packet, you must fulfill the following by January 15, 2026:

- Course Evaluations (8–10 total):
- At least 3 from science courses
- One each from: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (preferred)
- Letters of Recommendation (6 total):
- 2 from Hunter College science faculty (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)
- 1 from a clinical supervisor or physician
- 1 from a research supervisor (required for pre-med applicants)
- 1 from a community service supervisor
- 1 from Hunter College non-science faculty
- Course Evaluations (8–10 total):
Timely submission of these documents is essential to be considered for a Committee Letter.
This event is ONLY for students who have completed 38 credits of science (or 30 credits if a transfer student) at Hunter College in:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
