Applicants who have completed all or part of their university studies in a non-US institution must submit their applications no later than February 1 to be considered for Fall admission and September 15 to be considered for Spring admission.

Please note: Certificate and Advanced Certificate programs are NOT ELIGIBLE for Federal Financial Aid


Admission Requirements:

You must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for admission.  Meeting these minimum requirements does not guarantee acceptance to the program.

  • A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution comparable in standard and content to a bachelor’s degree from Hunter College- College & University Transcripts
  • A statement of purpose and letters of recommendation ARE NOT REQUIRED for this program.

PLEASE NOTE: If you would like to be CONSIDERED IN THE PROGRAM in order to OBTAIN the GIS certificate, you would need to submit the online graduate degree application which is available on the graduate admissions website (the link APPLY ONLINE can be found on the left-hand side of this page)
