Meeting With Brian Buckwald
November 13, 2025
Opportunity is on the line: Support Hunter College this #CUNYTuesday and help students stay enrolled, supported, and thriving despite major funding cuts. Give now.
On October 30, 2025, from 11 am to 1 pm, a meet-and-greet event was held for the HEOs in Room 1203 East (68th St., Main Campus). The purpose of the event was to welcome new and current HEOs, provide an informal networking opportunity, and give everyone a chance to enjoy themselves. The event featured games, music, prizes, light refreshments, soft drinks, and a beautifully decorated cake.
The event began with a brief welcome from the committee members, who asked everyone to create a name tag to help break the ice for introductions. This was followed by serving light refreshments and soft drinks. Each committee member had the chance to interact with attendees by playing a game, encouraging participation, and discussing their role on the committee.
During the event, a raffle was held where a committee member drew an HEO's name from a bag every 15 minutes to present a prize. The prizes included a Hunter College T-shirt, a Hunter College charger, and a tumbler. A total of 12 winners were announced. Overall, the event successfully fostered rapport among members and set a positive tone for the committee's future activities.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of the meet-and-greet on October 30, 2025. We were excited to see such strong turnout and engagement, and we hope you made some valuable connections. We look forward to hosting another event like this soon.
