Professional Development Course Offerings for Fall 2022 - Winter 2023

The University Human Resources (UHR) Professional Development & Learning (PDL) Office will be offering both in-person and virtual DCAS sessions this academic year. Employees interested in professional development can find the Fall 2022/Winter 2023 DCAS Training Catalog on the PDL website. The cost for the courses ranges from $60 to $125 per person/per day.

Registration Process
Before registering for any professional development courses, staff must receive approval from their supervisor before submitting their registration form.
Once approved by their supervisor, staff should complete the Fall Course Registration Form which can be found here. Once approved, a confirmation email will be sent from University.Training@cuny.edu to the employee and their supervisor within 7 business days. Please note that there are a maximum number of participants per session. Employees that are interested in a course should register as soon as possible in order to guarantee a seat.
If an employee cannot attend a course for which they have registered, campus Human Resources should notify PDL via email (University.Training@cuny.edu) at least 10 days before the course begins so that a waitlisted employee can take the slot. If a campus cannot provide PDL with adequate notice, they also have the option of identifying a substitute employee who may attend in the registered employee’s absence. Campuses will be responsible for the course payment if proper notice is not given.
DCAS Citywide Training Center (CTC) On-site Courses
PDL works with campus Human Resources Offices and the Citywide Training Center (CTC) to have professional development courses presented on-site at campuses. Costs for this service start at $2,000 per day of training. PDL works with the CTC and the campus to select the course and the best instructor in accordance with the college’s learning needs. Interested administrators should consult with their Human Resources Office and then contact the PDL Office to plan the training.
