We will be offering PRIM&R’s IRB 201 course, which PRIM&R describes as “an educational program [that] will review and analyze each of the eight regulatory criteria that the IRB must consider during protocol review, examine the ethical principles that underlie these criteria, and discuss how the criteria are applied. This course has been designed for those who conduct reviews as part of a convened IRB or through the expedited procedure, and who understand the fundamentals of IRB operations.”
The IRB 250 course is “designed for professionals who want to deepen their understanding of and insight into core topics related to HRPP’s. The curriculum also delivers an array of practical strategies for enhancing an institution’s HRPP/IRB operations via the use of best practices.” The IRB 250 course will feature modules on the following topics: International Research, Internet Research, Applying the Exemption Categories, and Case Studies in Social Behavioral and Educational Research.
