Revisions to Federal Policy for the Protection of Human Subjects (45 CFR 46)-Postponed again until January 21, 2019
Implementation of revisions to the Common Rule, federal policy for the protection of human subjects (45 CFR Part 46), as well as corresponding CUNY Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) Policies & Procedures are scheduled to go into effect on January 21, 2019. CUNY will continue to operate under current regulations and policies until the new effective date, and no changes will be made to the IRB application or protocols and procedures until this time. CUNY HRPP Plan to Implement Revised Regulations
The purpose of this announcement is to provide you with the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) plans to implement the revised regulations governing research involving human subjects, the Common Rule. We refer to the revised regulations as 'the revised common rule' or '2018 regulations' throughout this notice.
