MARC - Maximizing Access to Research Careers
MARC is a National Institutes of Health-funded honors scholarship program that aims to remove barriers to research training for research-oriented undergraduate students majoring in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology at Hunter, who are motivated to pursue careers as biomedical research scientists. The program offers mentoring, research experience, and financial support to enable its trainees to become highly qualified and competitive for admission to PhD programs in the biomedical/behavioral sciences after graduating from Hunter.
MARC scholars receive mentoring, tuition support and a stipend for their active participation in laboratory research. In addition to the paid year-round laboratory research experience, scholars will be part of the MARC learning community focused on student success at Hunter and professional development towards application and acceptance to biomedical or behavioral science PhD training programs.
