REGULATION REFERENCE NO: 3.1.4 – Filing Fees
INDEX REFERENCE: EXAM FILING FEES FOR CAMPUS PEACE OFFICER EXAMINATION
Background:
Testing of candidates is required for all competitive civil service titles within CUNY. As such, candidates are required to pay a filing fee for CUNY civil service exams. The Vice Chancellor of the Office of Human Resources Management is responsible for establishing these filing fees.
Presently, the title of Campus Peace Officer has been identified as one in which the numbers of candidates has gone down steadily since 2014, and because of this has created staffing issues in Public Safety throughout the University.
Policy:
Any active CUNY employee or student applying for a civil service examination for the title of Campus Peace Officer will not be required to pay any filing fees related to the administration of the written/online multiple-choice test. This will also apply to any future examinations other than written/online that may replace the current testing method.
Proof of CUNY affiliation will be required when submitting the exam application.
