Please see updated registration information below for the February DCAS Civil Service 101 information sessions.
DCAS is offering two upcoming Civil Service 101 (CS101) information sessions this February. These sessions provide a high-level overview of the civil service system and are intended to help employees better understand civil service concepts and career pathways.
Please note that CUNY is a separate municipal authority, and some processes discussed during the session may be specific to NYC agencies and may not fully align with CUNY. However, the sessions can still be helpful for general context around civil service examination processes.
Topics Covered
- Overview of the civil service examination process
- How to apply for a civil service exam
- What generally happens after taking and passing an exam
- Q&A with DCAS staff
