Governor Kathy Hochul, Mayor Eric Adams and CUNY Chancellor Felix Matos Rodriguez marked the groundbreaking of SPARC Kips Bay, a first-of-its-kind jobs and education hub advancing life sciences, public health, and workforce development. The project, developed in partnership with NYC Economic Development Corporation, is expected to create more than 15,000 jobs, generate $42 billion in economic impact over 30 years and deliver state-of-the-art academic and research space for the CUNY community.
