Hunter Alumna Makes History as First Woman MLB Umpire

Jen Pawol, a 2005 graduate of Hunter College's MFA in Studio Art program, has become the first woman to be named a Major League Baseball umpire. The New Jersey native expressed that she was “overcome with emotion” upon receiving the historic news.
