Leah Garrett, Director of the Jewish Studies Center at Hunter College, was invited to speak in Warsaw at Polin Museum of the History of Polish Jews as part of an international conference on "Jews Against Nazi Germany During World War II.” The conference marked the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of war and explored Jewish participation in the fight against the Third Reich. Garrett’s talk, which was simultaneously translated into Polish, was titled “Jewish Soldiers in the British and US Armed Forces.”
