The Hunter College family includes thousands of students, alumni, faculty and staff with roots in Central and Eastern Europe—many from Ukraine itself—who are directly and deeply impacted by the Russian government’s brutal actions. Many have relatives and friends who are there now as the Ukrainian people fight and suffer or flee for their safety.
Our hearts go out to these members of our community and to the Ukrainian people as we remain hopeful that the efforts of the brave Ukrainian civilians and soldiers and the support of the international community will help bring about peace soon.
