Dear colleagues,
Election day is Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Here is the link to the CUNY Time to Vote Notice to Employees which is posted on the University Human Resources website.
- Employees are eligible for voting leave only if they do not have four (4) consecutive hours either between the opening of the polls and the beginning of their working shift, or between the end of their working shift and the closing of the polls.
Employees who do not have a four (4) hour window may take off the amount of time needed to give them four hours to vote (when combined with the time they have available outside of working hours). This time off may equal up to three (3) hours. - Employees must notify their supervisor if they plan to take time off to vote per the guidelines above, and should indicate the hours they use for voting on their corresponding time sheet.
Additional information can be found here: Time Off to Vote | New York State Board of Elections (ny.gov)
Sincerely,
Michelle Blackman, Esq.
