Radio City Music Hall was filled to capacity with more than 2,000 Hunter College graduates and their loved ones on May 30, 2018. After the ceremony, actor, producer and former Hunter Student Vin Diesel, who delivered the commencement address and was presented an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters, stole a moment to catch up with Dean of Students Eija Ayravainen. Diesel posted the video on his Instagram account and it has since garnered more than 1.5 million views. It’s fitting that Diesel thanked Dean Ayravainen—she was his professor in effective public speech making in 1986.
