Weekday Service Changes Coming to Lexington Av/63 St Station on December 8

November 21, 2025
Share
Subway F train

Heads up, Hunter commuters: If you use the Lexington Avenue and 63 Street station to get to Hunter, your weekday commute is about to change as the Metropolitan Transportation Authority implements a weekday route swap for the F and M trains that will begin Monday, December 8, 2025.

What is Changing (Weekdays, 6 am–9:30 pm):

F trains will no longer stop at Lexington Avenue and 63rd Street. They will instead run via 53rd Street to and from Queens, stopping closest to Hunter at Lexington Avenue and 53 Street.

M trains will instead stop at Lexington Avenue and 63 Street, on their way to and from Queens.

Weekends and Late Nights:

F trains will once again stop at Lexington Ave and 63rd Street.

M trains will run on their regular weekend and late-night schedules via 53rd Street, stopping closest to Hunter at 53rd Street and Lexington Avenue.

What This Means for Hunter Riders:

If you normally take the F to Lexington Avenue and 63rd Street on a weekday, you will now need to take the M to exit at 63rd Street.

Weekend and late-night travel remains as it is now.

Safe travels!
